What To Expect At An Art Workshop

What to expect from an art workshop is a finished canvas like this group of people are displaying
Artist Miriam Vincent at the head of a table where a workshop is taking place - what to Expect from a workshop

What To expect at an art workshop:

  • No experience necessary.

  • All materials are provided.

  • Leave your inner critic at the door.

  • Creativity – take courage.

  • Wear old clothes you don't mind getting paint on (paints are washable, but just in case!).

  • You will create your own individual canvas with acrylic paints.

  • You will go on a creative adventure!

  • There is no right or wrong.

  • Have fun – don’t take it too seriously.

  • There is no right or wrong! (Yes, I know I’ve said that already, but it is important!)

There is one more thing for me to clarify. I am not a teacher. So, what can you expect at an art workshop I run? We will not get 'technical'. I shall not be teaching you how to draw a tree or a bird, nor will I talk about light and shade or perspective.

What I will do is guide you on a creativity adventure that’s great for your soul!

My approach is a mindful one, with simple, easy-to-follow steps. Be open to creativity, be brave, and you will be surprised by the results!

The aim is to give yourself permission to play, to explore, and to connect with that part of yourself that often gets forgotten in the busyness of life. It’s not about creating a perfect piece of art; it’s about enjoying the process.

So, at a Minnie La La Designs workshop, expect lots of laughter, some messy hands, and the joy of watching colours come to life on your canvas. You’ll leave with something beautiful that you’ve made — and hopefully, a lighter, happier heart.

Keep up to date

Thank you
